How I came to get this shiva lingham is not a short story

of course.   I ordered the wrong book for crystals

and opened the book and it opened to the page and picture

of shiva lingham.  Right away I was attracted to this gemstone.

It is not very beautiful or even colorful but the healing

properties in it are amazing. 

Off I went to crystal shop I knew of 2 hours away

by a friends house.  I was looking for one to

keep in my pocket and found the one above.

It was on the floor and I sat with it.  it felt cool

to the touch and yet my hands vibrated and started

sweating.  this went through my whole body.

I smelled roses then and told owner of the

shop this.  she said she used to use it for

a lot of healing and at times would put in a rose

garden for good energy.  She also told me

that it was brought back by a friend and

found in a desecrated temple.  It sat in

his garden for years until she got it and used

it for healing. 

 I went home 
for perhaps about 6 months and could

not get this stone off of my mind.

I am not usually like this with crystals either.

it was a pricey stone and I was not sure

how I could afford it but finally decided

to call the woman and see if she would

let me make payments.  Well she did

and it took me over a year to pay it off and

finally bring it home. 

being it had sat in the crystal shop and had

dust on it and I was by the ocean I went

with my friends (it is pretty heavy at least

60 pounds, but never weighed it)

as I started to wash it in the ocean

I had the image in my head of this

little boy monk with an orange sash

tie off robe with one shoulder exposed.

I thought how interesting.  over time as

I meditated with it a story played out in

my vision of this young monk boy how

he could not sit still and he was punished

sent to a room with this stone. 

He grew
up and had a relationship with this stone,

the stone teaching him patience and how to

sit still and go inside.  I am very much like

the monk boy restless never liked sitting

still until lyme disease. 

In my mind I feel

this stone has been working with me very

much the same as the monk boy. 

I had not realized that the buddhist monks

did really wear that orange attire until

watching television one day.  I was amazed

as I had wondered about the color he was

wearing in my vision. 

This stone really

is very powerful  and some of my clients

cannot handle it under massage table

from the energy it emits.  I really

am honored to be able to have this stone

I really feel it has been one of the many

good things sent my way for healing

regardless of price.  the way I paid for it

I feel I have even treasure it more at having

it as I did not think in beginning I could even

afford it.   I feel that during my still time

these past few years this stone has helped me

to deal better with my circumstances and as

the monk boy teaching me to be still

and go within even more then I had before.

SHIVA LINGHAM STONE- Stone of Nurturing. 

The Shiva Lingham Stone is from the sacred Narmada River in Onkar Mandhata, one of India's seven holy sites.  Villagers gather this unique Crypto-crystalline quartz from shallow river beds.  Lingham describes the shape-egg like, but hand polished to balanced proportions.  This often worshiped fertility stone is revered by Hindus as the embodiment of Lord Shiva.  Lingham is also the sacred Sanskrit word for phallus.
