Spirit for Today: Story of the 2 Marty's
in May of 2001 I went to Hawaii
to get my Reiki Masters with a woman
named Marty. I did not have a good
experience as Marty kept jabbing me
in class for questions I would ask
or make fun of my knowledge.
A few people even came up to me
without me saying telling me they
notice she is downing me in class
she must be jealous of me for some
reason ignore it get my degree
and enjoy Hawaii.
well Marty really disappointed me
she was my teacher healer and friend
I thought.
So I come home upset tell my friend
Spider about it and she says come to
New York with us for a spiritual native
american weekend. will be camping and
good for your son and can learn
about the native way of life more.
Well after forking out a lot for Hawaii
and Reiki Masters class I was low on
cash. So we arranged for payment of
weekend for me to massage and do
energy work for the teachers and elders
to pay my son and I's way.
I am massaging a woman called
Grandmother Otter she is an elder
and teacher. Very nice loving woman.
AS am massaging her see spirit of a
woman to her left side. So felt
I could share this with her and did.
she smiled said yes that is Marty.
she just passed 2 weeks ago and was
an elder too. (another marty wow)
She shared with me about their friendship
and how she would miss her and then
we got quiet she relaxed I did massage.
But then I started seeing over and over
and over butterflies in my minds eye
yellow pink and light blue.
I say to Grandmother Otter what I am seeing now
hoping I would not bug her with it.
she said Marty loved butterflies.
A few days later Grandmother Otter
said she had a gift for me and handed me
these beautiful mother of pearl,
yellow, blue and pink butterfly earings
that were Marty's.
She said that I saw them and are meant for me.
This made me so happy. It was in the beginning
of me accepting this intuitive part of me.
I was so accepted there for who I was and
those earrings represented my gift and
being right and spirit showing me things
and not being crazy like many have said
about it.

It was something physical to remind me
of the beauty the spirit world can offer and
that intuition was right on. and that I
had bad experience with one Marty then
here comes another person named Marty
that teaches me more through spirit then
a very exspensive trip to Hawaii ever did.
